Högmåne (7.9 abv) is a Scottish ale, subtly spiced with cardamom and vanilla ... and brewed to wish you a very happy New Year. "Hog mane" means "high moon" in Swedish. When the words arrived on Scotland's Shetland Islands, they became "Hogmanay" and took on the additional meaning of "New Year." (Hint: Pronounced "hog-man-ay.")

Two Holly Kings in the house! Editions from 2023 and 2021 (10.1 abv) These are big gingerbread imperial stouts. 2023 is malty and full while 2021 has been barrel aged and lightly soured for 2 years. Brewed in honor of the winter solstice and all the merriment of the season! (In ancient traditions, the Holly King represented the waning sun and the Oak King represented the return of the sun at the winter solstice. 1933 (4.9 abv) is a German-style kolsch, light in color with a hint of spiciness. 1933 was the year that the Volstead Act was repealed, putting an end to Prohibition in the United States. Beer makers, reduced to brewing soda pop and “cereal beverages” for 13 years, went back to doing what they did best. It was an excellent year. (That would be Senator Volstead himself in the photo. We are just not even sure what that is on his face.)
